My birth was exactly as I had imagined it, gentle, peaceful, and full of love. I am so grateful and happy that I was able to experience every sensation that came with Leandra’s birth. The decision to have my baby at home with Sheila and Anjeli was the best thing I could have done for my birth and my family. It was a beautifully intimate experience and it was so wonderful to be at home, in my bed, with my things, during and after the birth.
At around 3:00am I felt some surges and laying down was not very comfortable. I went into the bathroom, placed my pillow next to the sink, rested my head on the pillow and swayed my hips with each surge. I rode the surge and because I didn’t feel them too close together, I would go back to bed. At around 5:00am I had a sensation-filled surge and returned to my position to the bathroom.
